FGV IFFCO produces a specific range of filling and spread fats which are tempered, non-hardened, non-lauric and therefore offer no risk of soapy taste. Furthermore, since these fats are not hardened there is no content of trans fatty acids. The filling and spread fats that we produce are fractionated, to give a triglyceride composition very similar to cocoa butter. Therefore these fats are fully compatible with cocoa butter in confectionery applications. They have a very steep melting profile which assures a very good flavour release as well and fast crystallization for cooling purpose. They are used in a wide variety of filling applications like toffee and biscuit filling or as spread fats. They are also used for enrobed filling for both soft and hard enrobing as well as for fillings which have cooling effects.
