Operator Packing

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out packing activities according to instructions and schedules assigned by the Supervisor.
• Operate packing machines in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure operators follow work instructions and that product quality meets the required specifications.
• Record product quality data, flushing oil usage, and ensure packing materials are adequately prepared.
• Report any machine breakdowns or operational issues to the Supervisor promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards within the work area.
• Operate and monitor Critical Control Points (CCP) and weight checker systems according to procedures.
• Comply with all Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policies and procedures.
• Manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements before carrying out high-risk activities.
• Handle and dispose of scheduled waste in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Monitor the ammonia gas system and report any abnormalities immediately.
• Label, segregate and store rework and on-hold products appropriately.
• Prepare, compile and submit shift reports to the Supervisor.
• Provide training and guidance to new operators to ensure compliance with SOPs and company standards.

Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a manufacturing or packing environment is an added advantage.
• Able to operate packing machinery and follow SOPs.
• Good understanding of quality, safety and housekeeping requirements.
• Willing to work on shifts.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Responsible, disciplined and willing to learn.
